The Friends of St Mary's Church

In 1974 Gwen Roberts and Jim Boys set up "The Friends of St. Mary's Church, Beddgelert". This a Charity, Registration Number 1062156, formed to look after the fabric of St. Mary's Church. Amongst their fund-raising activities the "Friends" have commissioned Alan Bott and Margaret Dunn to produce a guide book for the church. This book has been described at the Library of Wales as the best guide book for a Church anywhere. The cover of the book is illustrated below and it is quite by coincidence that the green of its cover is so close to the green background of this page.
