
Above is a picture of the "Old" Coventry Cathedral as it is today.
In 1940 we were living in Coventry but my Dad and I were able to take a short holiday in August: brother Mike was only seventeen months old and he and Mum stayed with her parents in Rugby.
Dad's diary account of our holiday follows with just a few pictures taken at the time. Coloured illustrations are much more recent.
